HARLINGEN - Members of a Rio Grande Valley band said they lost most of their equipment last week after thieves took their trailer from a Harlingen parking lot.

Members of the band Escape have played at clubs around the Valley for the past 18 years. Last week they had their trailer with almost $30,000 worth of equipment parked in a parking lot off Lewis Lane and Expressway 83.

They went to pick up the trailer for a performance Friday only to find out it was gone.

"We had our PA system, guitar player's setup, bass player's setup, all the drums, my keyboard, all the miscellaneous cords," Daniel Hernandez said.

"Now we're out of it. None of the guys will be able to make any money. None of us are going to make any money like we normally do every week," Hernandez said.

The band is hoping someone will spot their trailer. The trailer has the band's name on it. The license plate number is 09X-FVV.

Harlingen police said they have no leads in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Harlingen Crime Stoppers at 956-425-8477.
