WESLACO - A driver escaped injury Thursday after a train struck his vehicle in Weslaco.
The incident happened just before 1 p.m. at the Milano Street and Business 83. The impact destroyed most of the car's front end.
The train's engineer said he was traveling at about 10 miles per hour when he slammed into the car. The car's driver told police he didn't see the train until it was too late.
The site has no railroad crossing arms or lights.
