DALLAS (AP) Authorities say the pickup truck that a 17-year-old Oklahoma boy stole from his parents' home along with guns and ammunition has been found after a deadly attempted home invasion in Texas.

The Ellis County Sheriff's Department in North Texas says two male suspects are dead after the failed home invasion. Their names haven't been released.

A sheriff's office statement says a man living at the house near the town of Maypearl in rural Ellis County exchanged gunshots with the suspects Wednesday. His wife had called him home after seeing someone with a gun outside their window.

The sheriff's office says the suspects fled and were later found dead from what appeared to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds. One was found in the field and the other in the stolen pickup.
