DONNA - Two armed men who led police on a high-speed chase managed to elude capture. The suspects bailed out on a road just north of 2812 in an orchard.

DPS troopers found a handgun and shotgun inside the Cadillac the suspect were driving. They say they assume both men were still armed and dangerous.

Troopers searched both the orchard and a nearby property but turned up nothing. The Cadillac recovered had not been reported stolen. Authorities are now tracking down the registered owner.
