EDINBURG - Experience took a back seat to the first time performance in college baseball on Tuesday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium. Manny Mantrana's UT-Pan American Broncs, playing for the first time this season, blasted UTB/TSC 13-1 in the Scorpions' 17th game of the season. The Broncs took advantage of three hit batsmen in the opening frame to put two runs on the board. In the second, Mike McCarthy blasted a two-run home run as part of a six-run inning that opened an 8-0 advantage. Seven different Broncs' pitchers threw an inning each in a mercy rule shortened, seven inning game. UTB/TSC (11-6) didn't dent the scoreboard until a Joel Fernandez rbi single in the top of the seventh inning.
