BROWNSVILLE – Several trailers from the Valley Regional Medical Center will head out to deliver a massive donation to medical clinics in Mexico on Friday.

The donations are due to an effort by the Rotary Club of Brownsville Sunrise and Valley Regional Medical Center.

Over the last five years, the Valley Regional Medical Center has invested close to $25 million in upgrading its equipment at the hospital.

The center has brought in surgical robots and other medical devices, which has left them with a surplus of unused medical equipment.

They will be officially making the donation of more than a million dollars’ worth of medical equipment and office equipment during a ceremony at the hospital.
