Valley Wrestlers State Bound

SAN ANTONIO - Rio Grande City's Lisa Gonzalez and Weslaco East's Eli Urbina won regional championships at the region IV wrestling tournament in San Antonio on Saturday. Gonzalez topped the 148-pound division while Urbina won the 182-pound division. After two days of grueling competition, nine Valley boys and 12 Valley girls punched their ticket to state. The wrestling finale will take place February 24-25 at the Delco Center in Austin. Below is a full list of those who are moving on:
