EDINBURG - Authorities identified the man killed in a deadly accident at an Edinburg mill. We're told the victim was 21-year-old Oscar Arellano.
The autopsy stated Arellano asphyxiated inside a grain silo. The accident happened Thursday at Azteca Milling.
Investigators told us Arellano was inside a 50-foot silo, when he fell into a sand-like product and got stuck. By the time firefighters were able to remove him, he had already died.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS checked with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which is one of the lead agencies in the case. A spokesperson said they cannot comment on any ongoing investigations.
