McALLEN - For the third day in a row, Vipers' head coach Nick Nurse and the team's brain trust are dealing with a significant roster move affecting the team. The Vipers' loss is a gain for both guard Ben Uzoh and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs made the call to acquire Uzoh on Friday morning with the hope he'll be available for Friday's game with Milwaukee. Uzoh, a 6-3 guard from Tulsa, is a recent D-League Player of the Week award winner. On Wednesday, all-star center Greg Smith was called up from the Vipers to the NBA parent Houston Rockets, then returned to the Valley D-League franchise on Thursday. The Vipers host western conference leader Austin on Friday night at State Farm Arena. Smith will be available to the locals. Uzoh will not.
