OREM, UT - In a battle of baseball comebacks between UT-Pan American and Northern Colorado, the Bears had the last laugh by scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Broncs 14-13 and eliminate them from the Great West conference baseball tournament. The Broncs (30-22) trailed 10-5 after five innings, but battled back with two runs in the sixth and, after two were out, rallied for six runs in the top of the eighth to grab a 13-10 lead. Northern Colorado pulled within one run in the bottom of the eighth, then won the game in the ninth with a two-out, two-run hit from Taylor Anderson. Vincent Mejia drove in four runs for the Broncs, two with his seventh home run of the season. Angel Ibanez and Iradier Hernandez had three hits each in the losing cause. And despite going 0-for-6 in the season finale, Roger Bernal finished the campaign with a .414 batting average, the fourth highest single season mark in school history.
