Weekend of Arrests in San Juan

SAN JUAN - Increased police presence during the weekend on the streets of San Juan has left the municipality with a crowded city jail.
San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez said the increase in police presence was to curb holiday crime.
San Juan police officers made nine arrests, five of those before noon on Friday.
The arrests ranged from theft to possession of marijuana and terroristic threats.
