EDINBURG - The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings handed the McAllen Thunder a home loss with an 8-3 decision at Edinburg Baseball Stadium Saturday night. Mario Mercedes led the WhiteWings' offensive attack with three runs batted in. Although the Thunder (4-13) took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, the WhiteWings (10-6) went ahead in the second and never looked back. In Forth Worth, the Roadrunners (9-8) scored four runs in the first inning en route to a 10-4 victory over the Cats.
