BROWNSVILLE - A former Brownsville resident is accused of voter fraud. A grand jury indictment was unsealed today, after federal authorities arrested the 54-year-old in Forth Worth.
She's accused of voting five times using five different names in the 2012 runoff election. She was living in Brownsville when she allegedly cast the absentee ballots.
A judge will formally arraign her later this afternoon. If convicted, she faces up to five years in federal prison and could be ordered to pay a maximum fine of $10,000.
