ALAMO - The search is on for suspected kidnappers across several Rio Grande Valley cities.
Alamo Police Sgt. Lupita Valdez tells us 23-year-old Joshua Arteaga and another man kidnapped a woman at around 8:40 a.m. It happened at the Wal-Mart gas station in Alamo. The woman managed to escape, not far from where she was abducted.
Police say the crime appears to be random. The victim didn't know the suspects.
Alamo police are working with Donna police and have sent out alerts to several different departments.
We're told Arteaga is affiliated with the Vallucos Gang and lives in Donna. Officers say he recently got tattoos of palm trees under his left eye.
Valdez tells us they're working to identify the second suspect. The suspects' vehicle is described as a 1999 maroon Ford Expedition with license plate numbers DR3-W595. If you have any information in the case, you're asked to call 956-787-1454.
