Woman Survives Fire in Mission

MISSION - Fire crews rescued a 55-year-old woman from a burning home today north of Mission.

The blaze happened on Stewart Road south of Mile 4. The house now is considered a crime scene. Police said the fire may have been set intentionally.

The woman was not hurt, officials said.

Fire crews worked to keep the flames away from two vehicles parked outside the house.

The fire happened near a school. The campus was placed on lockdown while crews battled the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
