Manuel De La RosaManuel "Manny" De La Rosa is a general assignment reporter for KRGV-TV in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. He is based in Brownsville where he covers stories in the Lower Valley. He reports on homeland security issues along the border, crime, and court news in Cameron County. Manuel reports on multiple platforms and is considered fluent in social media.

De La Rosa, a native of Los Angeles, has about 18 years of reporting experience. He has also worked as a reporter in the Corpus Christi, Victoria, and Waco, TX; Tucson, AZ and Santa Maria, CA. He also worked as an associate producer in the Los Angeles Bureau for Court TV from 1998 until 2000.

De La Rosa has been a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists since 1990. He is a Lifetime Member of the organization. He currently serves as the association's Vice President for Broadcast. He's also a former member of the California Chicano News Media Association and the Investigative Reporter and Editors organization.

De La Rosa holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California where he graduated in 1991. He has been married to his wife, Alma, for 15 years. They have two children, Denisse, 20, and Manuel II, 15.
