Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean
Jackson, Arizona Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson and Dallas Cowboys punt
returner-wideout Patrick Crayton have been named the NFC's top players for
Week 7 of the NFL season.
The dynamic Jackson had a 67-yard touchdown run and a 57-yard scoring
reception in the Eagles' 27-17 win over Washington to collect offensive player
of the week honors. He is just the second player in team history to record a
touchdown run and reception of at least 50 yards in the same game, joining
Bosh Pritchard, who turned the trick in 1949. It's the second weekly award for
Jackson.
Wilson garnered defensive accolades after registering five tackles, picking
off a pass and recovering a fumble in the Cardinal's surprising 24-17 victory
over the New York Giants. It is the third weekly award for the ninth-year
veteran.
Crayton had a 73-yard punt-return touchdown in the Cowboys' 37-21 win over
Atlanta to take home special teams honors, the first player of the week award
of his career. He also added a five-yard TD catch in the triumph.
