Vannie Cook Clinic Receives $50,000 from Hyundai Hope on Wheels

MCALLEN - The Vannie E. Cook Jr. Children’s Cancer and Hematology Clinic is one of 18 recipients across the country to receive a 2016 Hyundai Impact Grant from Hyundai Hope On Wheels® and McAllen-area Hyundai dealers. The Vannie E. Cook Jr. Children’s Cancer and Hematology Clinic was chosen due to its proven track record of caring for children with pediatric cancer. These grant funds will be used to improve care and increase treatment options for kids with cancer.   

In 2016 alone, Hyundai Hope On Wheels will award more than $13 million in grants to institutions across the nation. Established in 1998, the organization has awarded over $115 million dollars in research to Children’s Oncology Group member institutions nationwide. The goal of the program is to support innovative research and create greater awareness of childhood cancer.
