Traffic Report for the Tuesday, Oct. 4


Affected Areas: Various lane closures on I-69 East/US 77, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Crews will be milling the roadway from the floodway bridge in Combes to Wilson Road in Harlingen. Crews will only be shutting down one lane at a time.

Mission & Pharr

Affected Areas: The intersection of Business 83 and the expressway will be closed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. today.

Mission crews are placing deck panels for the Westbound Main Lane Bridge of I-2. It's part of a reconstruction project expanding Interstate 2 /U.S. 83 from a four-lane to a six-lane travel facility in the Mission area.

Northbound IH 69E frontage at FM 3248 Alton Gloor intersection, far right lane is closed due to construction of new right turn lane. Traffic is reduced to 2 lanes

US0281 Eastbound and Westbound center lane is closed. The lanes are narrows with no shoulders with TxDOT saying maximum width is 12'. 

US0281 Eastbound and Westbound closed from 9-9-2016 to 2-1-2017 South of FM1421 to just passed FM 3248. All traffic reduced to one lane, so drivers should be prepared to stop.

Rio Hondo

Affected Areas: Rio Hondo lift bridge is closed to traffic.

Crews are replacing all the electrical equipment, as well as doing various other repairs and upgrades on the bridge. The closure is expected to last approximately eight months.

Rio Grande City

Affected Areas: US83 Eastbound and Westbound from 8-26-2016 till 10-31-2016 the Arroyo Quiote Bridge Culverts are being expanded for sidewalks. Traveling public is advised to observe all posted signs.
