For the Third Consecutive Year, Doctors Hospital at Renaissance receives Excellence Award in Three AreasPosted: Updated:
Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System (DHR) has received excellence awards in three women’s care areas. This is the third consecutive year that DHR has received this honor from Healthgrades, an online directory that provides comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. The three awards recognize DHR’s care in gynecologic surgery, labor and delivery and obstetrics and gynecology among the top 10% in the country.

The Gynecologic Surgery Award recognizes hospitals that provided outstanding performance in gynecologic surgery including hysterectomy and surgery related to the female reproductive system. According to Healthgrades, patients who have a gynecologic surgical procedure in a hospital that has received this award have, on average, a 47.6% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital, compared to being treated at a hospital who did not receive the award.
The Labor and Delivery Award recognizes top performing hospitals for the exception care provided to mothers during labor and delivery. For mothers who deliver at a hospital that has the Healthgrades, Labor and Delivery Award, they have, on average, a 53.8% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital, compared to mothers who deliver at a hospital without an excellence award.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award highlights hospitals with exception clinical outcomes while caring for women during childbirth, also during and after gynecologic surgeries and procedures. Compared to patients who are treated at a hospital that does not have Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award, patients at DHR have, on average a 41.8 % lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital.
