First & Goal Final: October 6th

WESLACO - Five of the Valley's six unbeaten football teams saw action in week six, the halfway point of the 2017 regular season.  All five teams kept their perfect season records intact.  Raymondville, at 5-0, had the week off.  Mission Veterans Memorial is the first local school to six wins this year.  The Patriots outscored Pioneer 61-38.  Lopez won on Thursday.  The three 6A teams that remain unbeaten are San Benito, Vela, and PSJA.  The Greyhounds won at Weslaco East 44-21.  Vela defeated Edinburg 43-21.  PSJA pitched the only shutout of the night, 24-0, over PSJA North.
