SAN BENITO - The Valley's two unbeaten football teams lived to play December football after Friday night's area competition.  San Benito outlasted McAllen Memorial 44-35 to earn a third round match-up with San Antonio O'Connor.  Vela knocked off Eagle Pass 28-10.  The SaberCats will play Austin Westlake in next week's third round.  A third Valley entry also advanced in the 6A playoffs.  Weslaco East defeated Alexander 21-18.  The Wildcats move on to play Cibolo Steele next week.
