Murder Suspect Arrested in Valley

HIDALGO COUNTY--DPS arrested a murder suspect from Florida.
     A DPS trooper attempted to pull over a man in a traffic stop Friday night. The driver evaded arrest, but crashed near US 83 and Mile 1 East. He fled on foot but was apprehended by the trooper.
     The suspect was booked in the Cameron County jail on the charges first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, aggravated theft of motor vehicle, evading arrest using vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
     The trooper found a firearm in the suspect's vehicle.
