Man Who Escaped Sheriff Custody Found

EDINBURG – A man who escaped Hidalgo County Sheriff custody was located.

The man was under court order to get medically evaluated.

Deputies escorted him to the hospital, where he escaped and was on the run throughout the night.

Deputies located and arrested him Wednesday morning. He’s now facing escape charges.

Authorities are withholding the suspect’s name because he’s a patient.
