Witness of Brownsville Shooting Involving Officer Recaps Daunting Experience

BROWNSVILLE – A Rio Grande Valley woman is still traumatized after witnessing the recent Brownsville shooting involving police.

The shooting took place at a CVS Pharmacy off of E. Alton Gloor Blvd. early Wednesday morning.

A quick trip to the store to buy asthma medication for her daughter turned into a nightmare within moments.

“There was a man there with a gun, just waving it at whomever he saw. He pointed it at me,” she says.

The mother tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS she did everything she could to protect her two-year-old daughter.

“We heard three shots fired. I dropped to the ground trying to cover my daughter,” she says.

KRGV’s Trason Bragg has the story from the woman who says she is grateful she and her daughter made it out alive.

The Texas Rangers are currently investigating the shooting.
