Texas Fire Departments Activated to Aid in California Wildfires

WESLACO – Nearly 100 firefighters from 29 Texas fire departments have been activated to help fight wildfires burning in California.

Firefighters are working to contain some 20 wildfires that have burned more than 750,000 acres of land.

Nine people have been killed. Thousands more have been evacuated and nearly 160 homes have been damaged or destroyed.
