The fire happened across from St. Thomas Catholic Church on East Jefferson Street.

McALLEN - An 18-wheeler burst into flames after colliding with a van Monday night on 23rd Street in McAllen.
McAllen interim Fire Chief Rafael Balderas said the street was closed from Heron to Nightingale streets while crews cleared the accident scene.
