HIDALGO COUNTY - Border Patrol agents on Wednesday rescued two illegal immigrants from the trunk of an abandoned car, officials said.
Penitas police tried to pull over the car for a traffic violation, but the driver fled, officials said.
The driver eventually stopped and fled.
