LOPEZVILLE - CHANNEL 5 NEWS learned the man killed in a drive-by shooting was in the U.S. illegally. His family told Hidalgo County investigators he was involved in human smuggling.
The shooting happened in Lopezville Tuesday night.
Detectives said it's still unclear if the victim
