DONNA – The Department of Public Safety says a suspect in a vehicle theft is still on the run.

J.S. Adame Elementary School was placed on lockdown as DPS troopers searched north of Salinas Boulevard.

According to DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez, one person was arrested near the campus.

The search for the second suspect ended around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

No word on a possible description of the suspect.
