1 In Custody Following Palmview Pursuit, Driver on the Run
PALMVIEW – Authorities are searching for a suspect who bailed out of a moving vehicle during a pursuit in Palmview.
A Hidalgo County Constable Precinct 3 deputy stopped a truck pulling a box trailer near FM 495 and Conway Ave. Wednesday afternoon for running a stop sign.
The driver did not have a driver’s license. As Mission police pulled up to assist, the constable deputy said the man took off.
The driver jumped out of the truck and ran away while a teenager took over driving and evaded arrest.
He eventually crashed the truck and trailer into thick brush on Minnesota Road north of Mile 7.
The juvenile was taken into custody.
