2 Candidates Contesting Starr Co. March Election Results
UPDATE (4/13): The two candidates continue their battle against the latest election results in Starr County.
A lawsuit was filed Wednesday against the Texas Secretary of State's Office.
Court documents show the early voting ballot board did not count about 13 percent of mail-in ballots.
The candidates are also raising concerns about the manner in which the early voting ballot board chose to accept and reject those ballots.

RIO GRANDE CITY – Two candidates are fighting the results of the March elections in Starr County.
Leticia Garza Galvan, candidate for county judge, and Martie Garcia Vela, candidate for the 229th District Court judge, filed a lawsuit Friday.
The lawsuit points to problems including mail-in ballots, in-person voting and the security and record keeping of ballot boxes.
Both are asking to double check the recount numbers.
