HARLINGEN – A local business owner is concerned after two men attempted robbery at a McDonald's close to his business.

Harlingen police say the robbers received no money in the attempt and are facing charges for aggravated robbery.

The owner of The Fruit Cup business, Joel Garcia, says he is a little more worried after the robbery.

"We're not a huge company. We are small businesses so if there is a robbery like that, then it is worrisome," says Garcia.

Commander John Parrish of the Harlingen Police Department says the McDonald's was closed for business but they were in the process of cleaning, so the side door was unlocked.

Parrish says his department was able to identify the suspects thanks to the restaurant's security cameras.
