NEAR FALFURRIAS – Border Patrol agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint foiled a plot to smuggle more than two dozen people in the U.S. illegally.

Customs and Border Protection says a K-9 alerted agents to a tractor-trailer on Wednesday evening.

Upon further inspection, they found 25 people from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and an unaccompanied child from Mexico.

CBP says within the group was a member of the MS-13 gang.
