27-Year-Old Man Killed in Rollover Crash in Weslaco
WESLACO – The Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal rollover crash in Weslaco.
It happened Saturday at 11:40 p.m. on 34th Street near Hopper Road.
The driver of a Chevy Silverado, identified as 27-year-old Horacio Reyes of Weslaco, died at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed Reyes was traveling westbound on 34th Street at a high speed when he veered off the roadway into a drainage ditch.
Reyes attempted to correct the vehicle, but lost control causing the truck to rollover.
The driver sustained major injuries and died at the scene.
