WESLACO – The Texas Associated Press has recognized several Valley football players on their “all-state” list.

A pair of Port Isabel Tarpons headlined the bunch. Senior running back Omar Silva (2,000 yards, 22 TDs rushing; kick return for TD) and senior defensive lineman Christopher Bode (110 tackles, 12 sacks, 20 TFL, 3 FF, 2 FR)  landed on the first-team.

Here’s a complete list of all those honored in Class 4A & 5A. The 6A all-state list will be announced Thursday.
