78-Year-Old Man Charged with Assault of a Child

BROWNSVILLE – A Brownsville man is behind bars charged with continuous sexual assault of a child.

Brownsville Police spokesman J.J. Trevino said 78-year-old Sylvestre Carrillo turned himself in last week.

The charge of continuous sexual assault of a child is a first degree felony. Police couldn’t disclose any information on the victim.

Carrillo’s bond is set at $200,000.
