Hidalgo County made an announcement on Tuesday that polling locations will be open until 8p.m. —  an extra hour during Election Day. 

This was due to polling places experiencing technical problems checking in on Tuesday morning. 

Channel 5 News Reporter Allysa Cole is one of the team members covering polling locations in Hidalgo County. 

"There's actually about less then 50 people in line," Cole said. "Right now people are saying, people have been standing in line for roughly about 10 to 15 minutes."
