RIO GRANDE VALLEY - The American Red Cross of South Texas is prepared to send volunteers to Florida.

Danella Hughes, Executive Director of the South Texas Region, says her group will help if needed. More than 400 local volunteers are already prepared for deployment.

Area Red Cross recently sent around 100 volunteers to the Coastal Bend and Houston Areas following Hurricane Harvey.

Hughes says more volunteers are needed.
