DONNA - Hidalgo County authorities said a second suspect wanted for a robbery in Donna is in custody.

Twenty-year-old Israel Mendez is facing a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery.

The robbery happened Monday on the 1800 block of Torreon Street near Donna. Two masked suspects armed with a bat entered the home and stole $300 and a cell phone.

Police arrested the first suspect, 19-year-old Dario Montoya, the day after.

Mendez’s bond was set at $200,000.
