WESLACO -  It's an interesting time for three local baseball players.  They can all be proud after being selected this week in the Major League Baseball draft. After a breakout senior season, former UTRGV outfielder Jose Garcia is on his way to be a pro. The Chicago White Sox selected Garcia in the 25th round. For two high school players, the situations are uncertain in spite of being drafted. Mission Vets pitcher Noel Vela was picked by the San Diego Padres in the 28th round ..He's signed to play college baseball at UTRGV, and says the Padres will pay for his college education if he turns pro.  The catch is that he won't be able to play college baseball.  Edinburg North catcher Saul Garza was projected to possibly be a third round pick. Instead, the St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the 31st round. Garza has signed with Howard Junior College.  He could still join a Division 1 school or go pro.  The video features a report from CHANNEL 5's Ruben Juarez.
