WESLACO – Thieves could target holiday shoppers via social media, according to the Better Business Bureau.

The BBB explains "Secret Sister" and "Holiday Wine Exchange" seems harmless but are in fact pyramid schemes.

The social media post promises 36 gifts to those who send a $10 gift.

According to the U.S. Postal Service, those types of gift exchanges are considered illegal gambling.

BBB says if you see this, report it to Facebook immediately.
