FALFURRIAS – Border Patrol agents discovered two meth smuggling cases at the Falfurrias checkpoint Tuesday.

Inside a Chevrolet Cruze, they found four bundles of methamphetamine, which weighed more than 11 pounds and worth about $373,000.

They also found the passenger of that vehicle was in the U.S. illegally.

The driver and drugs were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.

Later the same day, a K-9 alerted agents of a suspicious tractor-trailer.

Agents found nearly 70 pounds of methamphetamine worth over $2.1 million.

The driver and narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
