Border Patrol Agents Discover Meth in 2 Separate Instances at Falfurrias Checkpoint
FALFURRIAS – Border Patrol agents discovered two meth smuggling cases at the Falfurrias checkpoint Tuesday.
Inside a Chevrolet Cruze, they found four bundles of methamphetamine, which weighed more than 11 pounds and worth about $373,000.
They also found the passenger of that vehicle was in the U.S. illegally.
The driver and drugs were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
Later the same day, a K-9 alerted agents of a suspicious tractor-trailer.
Agents found nearly 70 pounds of methamphetamine worth over $2.1 million.
The driver and narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
