Border Patrol Arrest MS-13 Gang Member
EDINBURG – Customs and Border Protection agents arrested a gang member of the MS-13 in the Rio Grande Valley this week.
A spokesman told CHANNEL 5 NEWS it’s the gang they most find in the Valley trying to cross illegally.
So far this fiscal year, 197 MS-13 members have been caught nationwide. Many have an extensive criminal history.
“Many times record checks reveal that these gang members have extensive criminal histories in their home countries. Not only in their home country, also here in the United States. Some of them also come back with active warrants,” said Robert Rodriguez with the Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley sector.
Border Patrol said gang members also are the ones who keep coming back after being deported.
