WESLACO – The Boys & Girls Club in Hidalgo County is offering mental health services for the first time.

The non-profit organization is working to prevent youth from entering the judicial system.

"We're hiring regular social workers to be case managers. We're hiring prevention staff, people who are interested in teaching prevention bullying programs, dating violence programs, sex education programs," says Rocio Mata, the director of development at the Boys & Girls Club of Pharr and Edinburg.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas met with several children who may benefit from these new services.
