Brownsville police seeking to identify pedestrian killed in crash

The Brownsville Police Department is trying to identify a man killed in an auto-pedestrian crash Saturday night. 

The crash happened at about 10 p.m. on the 2100 block of Minnesota Avenue. 

Police say a man was crossing the street on Minnesota Avenue without using the crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle. 

The vehicle stayed at the location and waited for officers to arrive, according to Brownsville police. 

The man was taken to Valley Regional Medical Center in critical condition, where he later died. 

Brownsville investigators are trying to identify the pedestrian, who is described as a Hispanic man five feet, seven inches tall and weighs 180 to 200 pounds. He is between the ages of 50 and 60.
