Caravan Traveling from Honduras Putting Aid at Risk

WESLACO – Hundreds of Honduran migrants are marching to the Guatemalan border in hopes of making it to the U.S.

This year, the U.S. set aside $65.7 million in aid for the country to deter Central Americans from making the dangerous trek and kick-start the economy in the three countries.

President Trump says he’ll cut off support if the immigrants don’t return to their country.

But just how much money given to the Honduran government filters to the community?

KRGV’s Carolina Cruz spoke with two Hondurans who say they left their country for economic reasons.
