City of Brownsville Holds Tire Collection for Zika Prevention
The City of Brownsville is looking to take an active approach in warding off the Zika virus.
Saturday, they collected dozens of tires to be disposed of properly.
Tires provide a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes, especially as they become more active this time of year.
The city also teamed up with the Texas Department of Health to hand out Zika prevention kits.
