Coronavirus testing underway for inmates and staff at Willacy County Jail
A push for coronavirus testing in Willacy County is underway for all county inmates and jail employees after two staff members tested positive.
Officials say both employees are jailers at the Willacy County Sheriff’s Office. A plan of action was started after the first confirmed case on Friday.
According to Frank Torres, the county’s emergency management coordinator, they’re moving as quickly as they can to contain the outbreak.
