RIO GRANDE CITY – The Texas Supreme Court is refusing to review an appeals court decision in the ongoing dispute with Rio Grande City and a trash pick-up company.

Allied Waste claims the city unfairly ended their service contract three years early to start doing business with Grande Garbage Collection Co.

The company said they have not been allowed by the city to continue to collect trash.

The city can ask the state supreme court to hear the matter again. If the court refuses a second time, the issue then goes to trial.
